Strongholds Broken

Acts 1:8 NIV,

8 But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.”

Romans 7:15 NIV,

5 I do not understand what I do. For what I want to do I do not do, but what I hate I do.

Romans 3:23-24 NIV,

23 for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, 24 and all are justified freely by his grace through the redemption that came by Christ Jesus.

Romans 3:10–12 NIV,

10 As it is written: “There is no one righteous, not even one; 11there is no one who understands; there is no one who seeks God. 12 All have turned away, they have together become worthless; there is no one who does good, not even one.”

Romans 7:25 NIV,

25 Thanks be to God, who delivers me through Jesus Christ our Lord!

2 Timothy 3:1-5 NIV,

But mark this: There will be terrible times in the last days. 2 People will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boastful, proud, abusive, disobedient to their parents, ungrateful, unholy, 3 without love, unforgiving, slanderous, without self-control, brutal, not lovers of the good, 4 treacherous, rash, conceited, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God— 5 having a form of godliness but denying its power. Have nothing to do with such people.

2 Peter 1:3 NIV,

3 His divine power has given us everything we need for a godly life through our knowledge of him who called us by his own glory and goodness.

Ephesians 1:3 NASB,

Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places in Christ.

2 Corinthians 10:3-5 NIV,

3 For though we live in the world, we do not wage war as the world does. 4 The weapons we fight with are not the weapons of the world. On the contrary, they have divine power to demolish strongholds. 5 We demolish arguments and every pretension that sets itself up against the knowledge of God, and we take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ.

1. SPOT THEM

2. RENOUNCE THEM

 3. PAINT THE TARGET

Philippians 2:9-11,

9 Therefore God exalted him to the highest place and gave him the name that is above every name, 10 that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth, 11 and every tongue acknowledge that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.

4. GET HELP

James 5:16,

16 Therefore confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous person is powerful and effective.

5. REPLACE THEM

Psalm 18:34–45 NIV,

He trains my hands for battle;my arms can bend a bow of bronze. You make your saving help my shield, and your right hand sustains me;your help has made me great. You provide a broad path for my feet,so that my ankles do not give way.I pursued my enemies and overtook them;I did not turn back till they were destroyed.I crushed them so that they could not rise;they fell beneath my feet. You armed me with strength for battle;you humbled my adversaries before me.You made my enemies turn their backs in flight, and I destroyed my foes. They cried for help, but there was no one to save them—to the LORD, but he did not answer.I beat them as fine as windblown dust;I trampled them like mud in the streets. You have delivered me from the attacks of the people;you have made me the head of nations.People I did not know now serve me,foreigners cower before me;as soon as they hear of me, they obey me. They all lose heart;they come trembling from their strongholds.
