1 John 5:1-5,
1 Everyone who believes that Jesus is the Christ is born of God, and everyone who
loves the father loves his child as well. 2 This is how we know that we love the
children of God: by loving God and carrying out his commands. 3 In fact, this is love
for God: to keep his commands. And his commands are not burdensome, 4 for
everyone born of God overcomes the world. This is the victory that has overcome

2 Corinthians 1:3-7,
3 Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of
compassion and the God of all comfort, 4 who comforts us in all our troubles, so that
we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves receive from
God. 5 For just as we share abundantly in the sufferings of Christ, so also our
comfort abounds through Christ. 6 If we are distressed, it is for your comfort and
salvation; if we are comforted, it is for your comfort, which produces in you patient
endurance of the same sufferings we suffer. 7 And our hope for you is firm, because
we know that just as you share in our sufferings, so also you share in our comfort.
15 My mouth will tell of your righteous deeds,
of your saving acts all day long—
though I know not how to relate them all.
16 I will come and proclaim your mighty acts, Sovereign Lord;
I will proclaim your righteous deeds, yours alone.
17 Since my youth, God, you have taught me,
and to this day I declare your marvelous deeds.
18 Even when I am old and gray,
do not forsake me, my God,
till I declare your power to the next generation,
your mighty acts to all who are to come.
32 “Whoever acknowledges me before others, I will also acknowledge before my
Father in heaven. 33 But whoever disowns me before others, I will disown before my
Father in heaven.
1 Peter 3:15,

everyone who asks you to give the reason for the hope that you have.
