MESSAGE NOTES:

John 3:16-17,
16  For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever
believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.  17  For God did not send his
Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him.
1. Salvation is of God
Isaiah 45:21,
And there is no God apart from me, a righteous God and a Savior; there is none
but me.
Romans 5:12,
Therefore, just as sin entered the world through one man, and death through sin,
and in this way death came to all people, because all sinned

2. Salvation is a Gift
Ephesians 2:8-9,
8  For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this is not from
yourselves, it is the gift of God—  9  not by works, so that no one can boast.
3. Salvation is through Jesus Christ
John 14:6,
6  Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the
Father except through me.
Acts 4:11-12,
11  Jesus is “‘the stone you builders rejected, which has become the cornerstone.’
12  Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given
to mankind by which we must be saved.”
4. Salvation Rescues us from Death
John 3:16-17,
16  For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever
believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.  17  For God did not send his
Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him.
John 8:6-11,
But Jesus bent down and started to write on the ground with his finger.  7  When
they kept on questioning him, he straightened up and said to them, “Let any one of
you who is without sin be the first to throw a stone at her.”  8  Again he stooped
down and wrote on the ground. 9  At this, those who heard began to go away one at
a time, the older ones first, until only Jesus was left, with the woman still
standing there.  10  Jesus straightened up and asked her, “Woman, where are they?
Has no one condemned you?”
11  “No one, sir,” she said.
“Then neither do I condemn you,” Jesus declared. “Go now and leave your life of
sin.”

John 8:31-32,
“If you hold to my teaching, you are really my disciples.  32  Then you will know the
truth, and the truth will set you free.
1. GRAB IT!
John 1:11-12,
11  He came to that which was his own, but his own did not receive him.  12  Yet to all
who did receive him, to those who believed in his name, he gave the right to
become children of God—  13  children born not of natural descent, nor of human
decision or a husband’s will, but born of God.
2. GO FOR IT!
2 Corinthians 5:17,
17  Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come: The old has gone,
the new is here!
Romans 6:6-7,
6  For we know that our old self was crucified with him so that the body ruled by
sin might be done away with, that we should no longer be slaves to sin—  7  because
anyone who has died has been set free from sin.
3. GIVE IT!
Matthew 10:8
“Freely you have received, freely give”
